Perpetual Pie Dinner + Awards
"National Pi Day celebrates PI, a mathematical concept and a number that never ends.
The origin of National Pi Day came about when the U.S. House of Representatives passed
a non-binding resolution (HRES 224), recognizing March 14, 2009 as National Pi Day.
The day was created by Larry Shaw in 1989 and originally celebrated at the
San Francisco Exploratorium where Shaw was employed as a physicist.
The date is comprised of the first three digits of Pi."
However, we are celebrating this momentous occasion
as "Perpetual Pie Day" on Sunday, September 8th!
