Good Evening South Lake Tahoe Windjammer Yacht Club!
I have two important reminders for everyone this evening.
1) Commodore’s Cup:
This Sunday, August 13th is our annual Commodore’s Cup regatta. The race will have our usual 14:30 start time and will be followed immediately by a dinner and awards ceremony at Steamers Bar and Grill. COME ONE, COME ALL (but please, please, PLEASE get your RSVP to Linda Gordon (vicecommodore@sltwyc.com) NOW). Did I mention that Steamers needs our headcount for dinner on THIS Thursday?
If you’re coming to dinner, please remember to bring $25 CASH (it absolutely HAS to be cash for dinner). The Steamers bar will be open and accepting the usual forms of payment for drinks.
Our Rear Commodore, Sam Corso, has provided a convenient link to register for the race event: (https://www.regattanetwork.com/event/25868). He is also still looking for volunteers to help with the race committee. Please reach out to Same (rearcommodore@sltwyc.com) with any questions regarding the race.
2) NO DOGS ALLOWED:
Unfortunately, it has been brought to my attention that our contract with the Moose Lodge prohibits us from bringing any non-service animals on the property. I know we all love dogs (myself included), but we need to respect the wishes of the Moose Lodge if we want to continue having Yacht Club events there. So please remember to leave your pets at home.
