In Tahoe we like to start our Summer dinners in June. Considering we hold these events outside in the Moose Lodge backyard, it can get a bit dicey with the June weather.
As you can tell this event was a bit chilly — in the 50’s. Fortunately, Tahoeites are tough and always dress for the weather. As we were all sitting down to eat our delicious BBQ hamburger meal, we suddenly had thunder, lightning & a real downpour. Since we were all securely under our tents, we did stay dry, if not exactly warm.
But the ice cream dessert was probably not the best thing to have but it was tasty & everyone ate it!!
It was an enjoyable evening that did not last too late.
