The South Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club was proud to represent our vibrant boating community at this year’s Go Local Business Expo, hosted by the Tahoe Chamber on April 3, 2025, at the Tahoe Blue Event Center. Billed by the Chamber as “our biggest event yet,” the Expo lived up to its promise and more. With a record-breaking crowd, over 120 local vendors—including 45+ food and beverage participants—and 40+ raffle prizes given away throughout the evening, the event was an incredible celebration of Tahoe’s entrepreneurial spirit.
At the SLTWYC booth, attendees had the chance to learn about our club’s long-standing history on the lake, upcoming sailing & social events, community programs, and how to become a member. We enjoyed meeting boating enthusiasts, sharing stories, and connecting with fellow local businesses. Our booth featured interactive displays, a raffle to win 2 tickets to a social event, friendly faces, and, of course, some signature SLTWYC flair.
SLTWYC’s exposure was INCREDIBLE, and we owe a huge part of that success to the amazing members who showed up, volunteered their time and made it happen. A big thank you to Ashley Farr, Sam Corso, Nic Crumbly, and Karen Grant—your energy and enthusiasm were critical in staffing the booth and spreading the word about who we are and what we do.
It was a very successful networking event. We talked to so many people who didn’t even know that South Lake Tahoe still has a yacht club! Even better, we met many who were genuinely interested in becoming members. Ashley Farr and Karen Grant also did an amazing job visiting other booths that could potentially sponsor events or races. Thank you both for spearheading this initiative.
A special shoutout goes to Jennifer Frasier, who organized the booth with care and creativity. Her efforts helped us make a standout impression and connect with so many wonderful members of our community.
We’re honored to be part of such a dynamic and supportive community, and we thank everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello. We’re looking forward to seeing what comes of these new connections—but even if nothing else, we got the word out that the South Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club is alive and kicking.
