David and Shari Young are taking a leave from club activities for the rest of 2025. David has resigned as Parliamentarian, and a new appointment will be made. They remain members in good standing and send their best to all.

This month, we’re celebrating two longtime members whose journey together has been filled with adventure, community service, and a love for the water. From a chance meeting that led to a year-long honeymoon in Hawaii to solo sailing trips and bringing Habitat for Humanity to Tahoe, Mort and Carolyn have truly made their mark. Carra and John Johnck have been deeply involved in the South Lake Tahoe Yacht Club for decades, contributing through leadership and event planning. With a shared love of boating, skiing, and travel, they’ve built lasting connections within the club. Now with more time for new adventures, they remain enthusiastic about its future.

Tad Woodward passed away November 9, 2024 at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife Pat, two adult children, and four grandchildren.
